May 31, 2008

Tallahassee, Fla. - Dominic Berger posted a fifth-place finish at the NCAA East Regional Championships to automatically qualify for Nationals in the 110-meter hurdles.

Berger, a three-time All-America performer, had a time of 13.91 event.

On the women's side, Toni Aluko narrowly missed automatically qualifying for Nationals in the high jump. The senior posted a jump of 5-09.25, matching the height of fifth-place finisher Priscilla Frederick of St. John's, but placed sixth after a jump off. Aluko will now have to wait for the NCAA Championships Field selection, which takes place on Tuesday.

Jillian Anwah will also have to wait for Tuesday's selections after she posted a seventh-place finish in the shot put with a throw of 49-00.25.
